Open Source Manifesto For Emerging Technology Innovation

"Move Slow & Mend Things"

Think Delta Consulting acts to influence and impact the shape and direction of Emerging Technology Innovation, towards fairer, more balanced and equitable societies.

This is an Open Source Manifesto for Future Technology Innovation.

Emerging technology innovation invites us all to think about how and where we can plant the right seeds for the future, particularly for our collective, global community future.

Emerging Technology includes - but is not limited to - Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, Robotics & Cybernetics, Battery & Energy Tech, Sensor Tech, Genetics & Biopharmacology, Human/Computer Interfaces, Nanotechnology, Polymer & Materials Tech, Processor & Microchip Tech, Aerial & Space Tech.

The following intellectual foundations must be systemically secure, to ensure AI & Emerging Technology innovation is fair, safe and sustainable:

For the many, not the few.  Honouring the needs and aspirations of all, promoting shared interests, and hearing and respecting diverse views.

Community-spirited: Creating welcoming and cooperative communities for innovation that enable and encourage positive contribution-making.

Open engagement: Ensuring all stakeholders have equal opportunity for engagement and contribution.

Accessible participation: Supporting diverse scope for contribution, with different programmes, projects, systems, processes, experiences and events, that are freely accessible to all.

Community cohesion: Developing and harnessing Emerging Technology to unite, to seed a ‘social glue’, which gently binds together the fabric of a diverse, yet eco-socially integrated and harmonious global community, vs one of disintegration, exclusion, hoarding and division.

Tech for Peace, not Profit.

Think Delta Consulting hopes for and looks forward to supporting the following kinds of programmes, networks, systems, experiences and events:

Health, Leisure & Recreation: Emerging Tech innovation focused on the betterment of ecosystemic health and wellbeing, focused on mending, healing and preserving our community assets – both human and natural or wild.

Cultural and Creative experiences: Expanding opportunities in Emerging Tech for talented human creatives of all ages and abilities, and linking with improving health and wellbeing outcomes for marginalised and excluded groups and individuals.

Learning and Development experiences: Building accessible opportunities to share and gain skills, knowledge and tools through skill- and asset- sharing and exchange models in Emerging Tech. This can include environmental crafts.

None of these ideas are new or revolutionary. They have all been tested and proven, globally.

So why not in global Emerging Technology innovation?

What would it take?

Community Champions: People of all ages and walks of life with the courage, heart and passion for forming, developing and maintaining enduring community Emerging Tech networks, including community energy generation and supply infrastructure, based on renewable/Green Tech.

Community Leaders & Activists: People of all ages and walks of life with the time and energy to make positive things happen in Emerging Tech innovation. No leadership experience necessary.

Community Mentors, Guides & Sponsors: People who can sponsor, fund, guide and support ground-level Emerging Tech community initiatives and projects, including businesspeople, elected political representatives, resource- and budget-holders and officials.

Also; Community Spaces: Spaces and settings where community members can gather freely to engage in the work of building alternative Global Emerging Tech community, and commons.
